🔬During our grade 3 Science class, we had an exciting session as we explored the concept of states of matter as part of our current Unit of Inquiry, How We Express Ourselves. The students learned about the three primary states of matter—solid, liquid, and gas—and discussed their unique properties.
📚To bring this concept to life, we conducted a hands-on experiment: the Balloon Inflation Experiment! Through this engaging activity, students observed how a gas can be created and used to inflate a balloon, allowing them to see the process in action and deepen their understanding of matter in a fun, memorable way.
It was a wonderful experience to see their curiosity and excitement. We encourage you to ask them about the experiment and what they discovered about solids, liquids, and gases!👍
